German public universities have no tuition fees ! Students have to just pay a semester registration fee of 400 Euros approximately and they get a student card through which they get discounted price on meals in the cafeteria and a free transportation card for the whole state of their university.
Yes. You will get 18 months post study work visa to find a job in area of your specialization. Once you find a full time job of around 4500 Euros/month related to your masters, Immigration department will issue you a EU blue card visa. After working 3 years full time on EU blue card Visa, you will receive automatically a permanent EU Blue card. If your salary is less than 4500 Euros/month still you can apply for permanent residence card with German B1 certificate.
Cost of living in Germany is much lower when compared to USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Rent for one room in a shared apartment “WG” as its popularly called is around 300 E/month and one must keep another 350 E for food, transportation and health insurance.
