Requirements for Germany student visa

1. University admission letter – Its very easy to get an admission in German taught Masters programmes in Germany. Moreover, tuitione fees is zero in Public Universities. Students have to pay only a small 350 Eur semester registration fees every semester. For English taught Masters programmes competition is very high now and a student must have more than 75 % aggregate in his/her Bachelors degree course.

12th pass students looking to get into a Bachelors programme in Germany, first need to successfully complete ” Studienkolleg” a 9 month preparatory course in Germany.  Studienkolleg ends with a ” Feststellungsprüfung”. Marks in Feststellungsprüfung decide which Univeristy accepts the student for Bachelors programmes. For admission to Studienkolleg a student after passing 12th class in India should immediately start  learning German language and finish A1 and A2 levels in India. Then go to Germany on a German student visa and complete B1 and B2 levels in Germany and give a ” Aufnahmeprüfung” for admission to Studienkolleg.  This exam has very basic questions from German language and 10th class Mathematics.

 Our partner language school in Mainz, Germany can teach you B1 and B2 levels and give you special classes for passing ” Aufnahmeprüfung”.  Its a very old language school and success rate is 100 %.

2. Blocked account – Students need to open a blocked account of 10350 Eur in a German bank. This is needed in order to apply for Germany student visa. After student reaches Germany, German bank will release 820 Eur every month in the savings bank account of the student for his monthly expenses like rent, food, books, clothes, etc. This system has been in place since many years and very different from other countries like UK, USA or Canada. This is done in order to make sure that the student has enough money to live for one year in Germany.  If the student starts working part time after few months, then he can manage his expenses from the student job salary and leave the money in the blocked account untouched for visa renewal next year.
